Employee Assistance (EAP) Counselling Services

Our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Counselling services are available to individuals, couples, children and families who wish to improve their work experience and/or make positive changes in their lives. EAP clients live or work on the North Shore in the catchment area from Lions Bay to Deep Cove, including Bowen Island. We believe that reaching out for help, connecting with others, and finding new ways of coping is a healthy way of dealing with life’s struggles. Our experienced counsellors work from various theoretic orientations and are able to help their clients work through many different issues. Our counsellors hold master’s degrees and are registered with various professional organizations.

EAP services are time-limited and delivered with no cost to you as all fees are paid for by your employer’s EAP benefit plan.   If you wish to continue on with counselling after your EAP benefits are exhausted, your counsellor will inform you about our fee for service Clinical Counselling services and any other fully subsidized services you may be eligible for at this time. We can also provide up to three referrals should you wish to/need to continue counselling outside this Agency. We look forward to working with you.

The number of sessions available at no charge depends on the EAP benefits offered by your employer. If you do not show for a session, or do not provide 24 hours notice prior to cancelling the session, your allotment of sessions will be reduced accordingly. If your contract allows, and if clinically necessary, your counsellor can apply to the EAP Contract Program Manager for an extension in the number of sessions.

EAP services are time-limited and delivered with no cost to you as all fees are paid for by your employer’s EAP benefit plan.
