Support Bikes for Tykes with Helmets this holiday season!
The Southern Marshall family loves bikes. And Bikes for Tykes. For years, Lisa Southern has been supporting Obsession: Bikes, James Wilson, and the Bikes for Tykes program to help give families, who are unable to afford a bike for their children, receive one at Christmas. This year, when Lisa reached out to James he said he needed help getting helmets to go with the bikes. He’s got bike donations covered, and always supports tuning and fixing up of the bikes with mechanics, and this year even added the experience of getting kids lessons at the North Shore Bike Park. Just amazing. But we can’t send the kids out without new helmets, and this year there is no corporate sponsor to help make this happen. So, we need to make it happen.
What exactly is needed? 250 helmets at $40 per unit. We need $10,000. And we need it by December 11, 2023. As of Friday, December 5th we’ve raised $5,000! Thank you to everyone who has donated so far and helped us reach our goal!
Lisa Southern has agreed to match donations up to $5,000 to get us to the $10,000. For every dollar, twenty dollars, a hundred dollars or more, she’ll match it up to the point needed to get to $10,000.
There is nothing more wonderful than riding a bike. It gives kids a feeling of joy, connection, and freedom that can’t be compared. Every kid should have access to a bike, and every kid should experience the wonder that comes from riding a bike. Thank you for helping us get these kiddos on wheels this holiday season.
